Reebok 11K Helmet Review

Reebok 11K Helmet
http://www.hockeyprostore.com/

The Reebok 11K Helmet has a thinner profile than the previous model which was the Reebok 8K model. Reebok has done a lot of research about what needs to go into the helmet to make it more protective and they found out that 90% of the hits are low impact hits which could be just as harmful as the big impact hits. So what they did was use the EPP liner but they used a softer version of liner to absorb those low impact hits. They also made the liner a flexible liner so it’s not attached to the shell this will allow a closer fit to the head when the helmet is adjusted to offer better protection.  Also they added the comfort pads which they have used in the past. To improve the fit they have a Microdial II which has a 360⁰ strap that allows it to really pull the helmet together around your head so it will fit a lot of different head shapes. The Reebok 11K Helmet features tool less adjustment with side clips to allow you to expand or contract to fit your desired size. The Reebok 11K Helmet has removable ear pieces and ear loops. The ventilation on the Reebok 11K Helmet consists of vents on top and front and ports in the back to allow maximum airflow. Available in a helmet and cage combo it comes with the Reebok 11K cage. The Reebok 11K Cage features a flat wire design to improve visibility. The chin cup is a floating chin cup with a much thicker padding then before, real dense foam with a gel cushion and moisture channels to get the sweat out. You attach the Reebok 11K Cage to the helmet with clips and can it can be adjusted while clipped on to the helmet to really get the fit needed for maximum protection.

Bauer 7500 Helmet Review

Bauer 7500 Helmet
http://www.hockeyprostore.com/

The Bauer 7500 Helmet is the evolution of the Bauer 5500 Helmet. The Bauer 5500 Helmet has been one of the most popular helmets in Bauer’s line for many years, so when Bauer created the 7500 they didn’t want to take too much away from the 5500. Bauer explained it as they didn’t want a revolution of the 5500 they wanted an evolution. They kept the Bauer 7500 Helmet very similar with the same internal fit and same internal shape. Changed on the helmet was the overall modern appearance and improved was the tool less adjustment which was retooled for easier adjustment of the helmet after hearing that the 5500 was hard to adjust sizing. The EPP liner was replaced with the EPP ½ which means the beads are smaller and place more closely together which allows it to manage more of the impact allowing less energy to transfer through. Overall The Bauer 7500 Helmet has the same fit as the 5500 with better protection and styling.

Bauer 4500 Helmet Review

Bauer 4500 Helmet
http://www.hockeyprostore.com/

The Bauer 4500 Helmet is one of the most classic distinctive helmets on the market. It has been around for quite some time. The front of the Bauer 4500 Helmet has 4 sets of air vent holes across the front. It uses a 2 piece standard design with a single screw adjustment on each side of the helmet. Loosen both screws up and you can expand or contract the helmet for the proper fit. The back of the Bauer 4500 Helmet features some more air vents to allow the air to flow through for maximum ventilation. Inside the Bauer 4500 Helmet it has standard ear flaps with foam on the inside the ear flaps and the ear flaps are also removable. The liner that is used in the Bauer 4500 Helmet is dual density cellflex foam which is pretty standard material that they have been using for awhile and offers a great traditional fit as well as that protection. The black foam is the first layer which is the more dense foam and then you have the softer white foam throughout the helmet to offer you a little more comfort. The Bauer 4500 Helmet is also available in a Helmet/Cage Combo. The cage used is the 4500 Cage. Bauer uses what they call a true vision color on this cage to enhance the visibility on the rink surface. It features a dual density floating chin cup. The cage has a nice wide oval design which will allows the bars to sit a little bit further apart offering better vision.
