Reebok 9K KFS Shoulder Pads Review

Reebok 9K KFS Shoulder Pads
http://www.hockeyprostore.com/

The Reebok 9K KFS Shoulder Pads offer a good level of mobility and great, advanced level of protection. The front portion of the Reebok 9K KFS Shoulder Pads is similar to some of the other Reebok pads with a two panel design. The front panel uses a couple of different materials for the sternum protection to increase that level of protection. The black portion of the sternum protection is made from a new material Reebok is introducing which will give a great level of protection as well as reduce the wear of the foams which will increase the lifespan of the pad. The back panel of the front portion consists of single density molded foams which gives you a good level of protection and also allows it to contour the body. It also features a removable belly guard and a full comfort neck opening. The top portion of the Reebok 9K KFS Shoulder Pads you have the clavicle guard which they still used that hinge design like some of the other models and added more denser foam which still gives you that great range of motion but increases the protection greatly. For the shoulder cap they are still using the JDP design which Reebok is well known for in their pads for having great impact dispersion. The shoulder cap covers a great portion of the front which will give you a great level of protection from front and side impact. Around back they added a large shoulder blade plastic insert which will give you a lot of protection to the back of the shoulder area. The Bicep guard is still adjustable but has thicker foams then some of the other pads. The back portion of the Reebok 9K KFS Shoulder Pads uses a triple segment back panel which will offer a little better mobility with a little better range of motion without sacrificing any of the protection. The kidney guard has some thicker foam that is nicely molded to increase that level of protection.

Reebok 7K KFS Shoulder Pads Review

Reebok 7K KFS Shoulder Pads
http://www.hockeyprostore.com/

The Reebok 7K KFS Shoulder Pads is a big jump in performance compared to the 5K. The front of the Reebok 7K KFS Shoulder Pads is pretty similar to the 5K with thick dense foams down the center sternum area to give you a great level of protection. The lower portion is upgraded from the 5K with some more molded foam and some more segments to help it contour much better. They also added a removable belly guard. The top portion of the Reebok 7K KFS Shoulder Pads is using the same clavicle design as the 5K that allows the shoulder cap to move freely for maximum protection without restricting mobility. They also added a comfort strip on the neck portion to make the pad a little more comfortable. The shoulder cap is a JDP cap which all Reebok pads are known very well for having great impact dispersion. The bicep guards has plastic inserts in them, they are not very big but are adjustable which will allow you measure them up with your elbow pads. The back of the Reebok 7K KFS Shoulder Pads is the biggest change from the 5k. Using a segmented panel design, it involves a big plastic insert coming down the spine with a break in it and attached to the second panel which will have single density foams and a continuation of a plastic portion continuing down the rest of the spine area. They also added some more additional foam in the kidney area for added protection. The Reebok 7K KFS Shoulder Pads is a great value price pad that offers good protection as well as a lightweight feel.

Reebok 5K KFS Shoulder Pads
http://www.hockeyprostore.com/

The Reebok 5K KFS Shoulder Pads are a great jump in performance and protection from the 3K. Still a lower price point pad. The front portion of the Reebok 5K KFS Shoulder Pads is a 2 panel design with an upper panel and a bottom panel. The bottom panel features single density foams with some segments to help it contour against the body better. The upper panel has some really thick foams and some plastic down the sternum to increase the level of protection to the sternum area, this is one of the big jumps from the 3K in level of protection. The shoulder cap on the Reebok 5K KFS Shoulder Pads is a JDP shoulder cap which Reebok has become very well known for in there pads. With a hinged clavicle design that allows the shoulder cap to move up which allows you to keep that level of protection while still giving you that great mobility. The adjustable bicep guard is a great feature that will allow you to match it perfectly with your elbow pads.  The back side of the Reebok 5K KFS Shoulder Pads has single density foam on the outside and some dense plastic down the spine to give you that great level of protection.

Reebok 3K KFS Shoulder Pads
http://www.hockeyprostore.com/

The Reebok 3K KFS Shoulder Pads are a great low price point pad. They offer great value and a nice light weight feel and still some pretty good protection. The pad is perfect for the entry level or recreational player who plays in a house league. The front of the Reebok 3K KFS Shoulder Pads have some single density foams on the outside with some denser foams and plastic inserts down the center to increase the overall protection. Also there are a couple on segments on the outer portion to help the pad contour to the body just a little bit more. With a low profile design to keep that light weight feel. The shoulder cap is one of the best things the Reebok shoulder pads are best known for with the JDP cap design. With some thin plastic inserts in the bicep guard which is a little bit smaller than others but is still going to maintain that light weight feel. The back of the Reebok 3K KFS Shoulder Pads is exactly the same design as the front. You have the single density foams on the outside with a decent wrap for an entry level pad for that added protection to the kidneys and rib area. Easton Synergy EQ20 Shoulder Pads Review

Easton Synergy EQ20 Shoulder Pad
http://www.hockeyprostore.com/

The Easton Synergy EQ20 Shoulder Pads offer a great level of protection as well as mobility up front especially for this price point pad. They use a 3 piece design with a thick plastic insert and some denser foams going down the middle to protect the sternum which is attach by elastic which gives it more mobility than if it was sewn on. The front panel of the Easton Synergy EQ20 Shoulder Pads has a lot of segments in it to allow contouring against the player’s body, with a removable belly guard down at the bottom which is a very nice feature that you don't typically see on this price point pad. The shoulder cap does a great job covering all the way to the front of the shoulder which will give great protection to the front impacts as well as the side impacts. It is attached by two elastic straps which will help it move and flex a little bit during the game which is good for the overall mobility. The bicep guard is adjustable which makes it very convenient to place in a spot that will work well with your elbow pads which is not normally offered on this price point pad. The back of the pad is a very similar design to the front, with a decent rib wrap with denser foams giving you a little extra protection to the side of the body. With a segmented outer back portion and a plastic insert with dense foams down the middle to protect the spine, which is sewn in but will still give you a solid level of protection.

CCM U+ Fit 05 Shoulder Pads Review

CCM U+ Fit 05 Shoulder Pads

The CCM U+ Fit 05 Shoulder Pads are a nice looking shoulder pad from CCM. It offers a good intermediate level of protection. With the CCM U+ Fit 05 Shoulder Pads your going to get enough protection for a little more physical contact that the with the CCM U+ Fit 03 Shoulder Pads but it's still going to have a light weight design. The front portion is a 3 panel design. Both the outer and inner panel consists of single density foams. For the sternum protection they used thicker foams as well as a plastic insert. The outer panel and inner panel are connected as one with the sternum protection sewed at the bottom and attached with nylon webbing instead of elastic at the top. This won’t offer quite as much maneuverability but will offer a little more protection and a little more maneuverability that the CCM U+ Fit 03 Shoulder Pads. The shoulder caps are different than the CCM U+ Fit 03 Shoulder Pads with a little more protection by adding thicker foams underneath the cap with more coverage on the front of the shoulder giving you a little more protection to those front impacts. The bicep guard has thicker foams as well as a plastic insert. It is connected to the shoulder cap with an elastic piece and attached to the body panel with an adjustable elastic piece. This will be limited to how far down it can go but will offer a little bit of adjustability to go with your elbow pads. The back portion of the CCM U+ Fit 05 Shoulder Pads is a single panel design with single density foams in the outer portion, single density foams in the rib wrap and down in the spine area they have some nice segments with thicker foams and thicker plastics for a little more protection. The liner they used is a standard traditional nylon liner which will offer a nice traditional fit. Overall a nice solid shoulder pad from CCM.
