The Bauer Vapor X:20 Shoulder Pad is the most affordable pad in the vapor line with a great price point. Made of a three panel design with a single density foam middle piece layered on top of an outer panel with a plastic insert and another layer of foam in the sternum for additional protection. The Bauer Vapor X:20 Shoulder Pad has a good size bicep guard which is molded so that it will wrap around the bicep nicely. It has fairly standard design on the shoulder cap which slightly wraps around the front for added protection. The back has the three layers again with a single density foam on the outer layer followed by another single density foam with a plastic insert running down the spine with another thin layer of foam on top of that. Fairly traditional brushed nylon liner is used inside. Overall the pad has a pretty nice fit and is not going to be very high profile in the shoulder area and will not be too bulky in the chest area. The Bauer Vapor X:20 Shoulder Pad will offer a great level of protection for that entry to recreational player.
