The Bauer Vapor X:30 Shoulder Pads have a very nice price point. Similar design to the X:20 Shoulder Pads with a couple of extra features. The front of the Bauer Vapor X:30 Shoulder Pads feature a 3 panel system with single density foams on the outer portion, some single density foams on the center panel and a plastic insert on the chest with a segment in it to give you a little extra mobility. It features a removable belly guard which you could choose keep on or remove. They have a nice size bicep guard with a plastic insert and molded over to wrap around the bicep nicely. The shoulder cap is covered which gives it a little bit of a cleaner look with a dynamic flex arch which will allow the shoulder cap to bump on over the clavicle guard instead of pushing into the neck. The back offers the 3 panel construction similar to the front panels and is connected by stitching not elastic or webbing which won't have as much mobility but offers a better fit. The spine guard has plastic inserts with a segment to allow it to stay against the back while you’re in movement a little better. At the top of the back some vent armor foam was added for some extra protection. Inside you have a little nicer liner than the X:20 with a brush nylon that goes down the center and a thermal max liner on the outer part which is a little softer material and offers those moister wicking properties. Overall fit feels like you have a little more on than the X:20 but still has a pretty lightweight feel to it. Overall with the Bauer Vapor X:30 Shoulder Pads you feel that you have a little more protection but not a bulky feel.
